Robotics in prosthodontics represents a transformative intersection of technology and dental care, enhancing the precision and efficiency of prosthetic solutions. This review examines current robotic technologies employed in these areas, focusing on robotic-assisted systems for tooth placement and alignment, as well as the use of automation in the surgical placement of dental implants. We discuss how these technologies facilitate accurate prosthetic design, improve patient outcomes, and reduce the risk of complications. In addition, the role of robotics in digital articulation techniques is explored, highlighting advancements that allow for better functional analysis and occlusal adjustments. Despite the promising benefits, challenges such as high costs, technical expertise requirements, and integration into existing workflows persist. Future directions suggest an increase in the use of machine learning algorithms to refine robotic systems, enhance customization, and improve adaptability in complex clinical scenarios. This review aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state and future prospects of robotics in prosthodontics, serving as a resource for dental professionals and researchers alike.
