Abstract

Phleboliths are basically multiple, round, and oval laminated calcified bodies that often appear as flawless spheres in maxillofacial imaging, considered as “shining pearls sign.” It is a highly sensitive and diagnostically valuable sign in diagnosing venous malformations (VMs). This case series highlights the presence of the shining pearls sign in detecting subtle lesions of VMs.
