Abstract

Urolithiasis is a common nonobstetric cause of acute abdominal pain during pregnancy, with treatment limited by fetal radiation concerns and anesthesia-related risks. We report a case of a healthy pregnant woman at 24 weeks of gestation who presented with a symptomatic distal ureteric stone refractory to conservative management. She was successfully managed with ultrasound-guided fluoroscopy-free ureteroscopy (URS) and laser lithotripsy. Complete stone clearance was achieved without complications, resulting in prompt pain relief and an uneventful continuation of pregnancy. This case supports the safety and feasibility of fluoroscopy-free URS in carefully selected patients, providing effective symptom resolution while avoiding fetal radiation exposure.
